environmentally responsible operation. By exploring the strategies, basic
resources and options listed on the tabs above you will find methods for
sensible decision making and evaluation of the environmental impact of your

Why Do Veterinarians Naturally Care About
Environment?
Most of our patients, from snakes, to cats, to cattle and wildlife,
either live directly outdoors, spend part of their daily lives outside, or
live inside but in a strictly controlled environment. Their health is
therefore very much tied to the environmental conditions in which they
live.
As veterinarians we learn to seek answers from examining our
patient’s environments. We have a deep appreciation for how our
patient’s environment affects their health and readily appreciate the
ecology of their lives from nutrition to air quality, water quality,
climate, natural resources, degraded habitats and diminishing
biodiversity.
Veterinarians quickly grasp the importance of environmental
sustainability and the value of keeping our environment healthy and strong
for our families, our communities, our clients and our patients.
